AI Usage Disclosure
Extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools in our research services · Last updated: 23 July 2026
Made under Regulation 19(vii) of the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014, which requires a Research Analyst to disclose to the client the extent of use of Artificial Intelligence tools in providing research services, and Clause 2(vii) of SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2025/004 dated 08 January 2025.
The Short Version
AI never makes an investment decision at Investace Capital. Every stock that enters, stays in, or leaves the Alpha Leap model portfolio is selected by a human research analyst, on human judgement, and is recorded against a named person. AI is used only to assist with drafting, summarising and answering questions about work a human has already done.
Where We Use AI
- Research summaries. Where an analyst has written a full investment thesis, we may use a large language model to produce a shorter, plain-language summary of that thesis for your dashboard. The summary is generated only from the analyst’s own thesis text, is labelled “AI Summary” where it appears, and never introduces a fact, figure or view not present in the underlying human-written research.
- Jarvis, your portfolio assistant. Most of what Jarvis answers is fixed, pre-written text with no AI involved. Where a question falls outside that, an AI model may generate the reply, using only your own account context. Jarvis is expressly instructed never to make a buy/sell recommendation, never to predict returns, and never to state anything as assured.
- Internal drafting. We may use AI to draft internal and client communications. All such copy is reviewed by a human before it is sent.
Where We Do Not Use AI
- Selecting, weighting, adding or exiting any security in the model portfolio.
- Deciding when the portfolio is reviewed or rebalanced.
- Calculating your holdings, returns, drift or any figure shown on your dashboard — these are deterministic calculations from recorded data, not model outputs.
- Executing, placing or approving any order. We cannot execute trades on your behalf at all.
- KYC decisions, payment decisions, or any decision about your account status.
Our Responsibility
In terms of Regulation 24(7) of the RA Regulations, Investace Capital remains solely responsible — irrespective of the scale or scenario of adoption of these tools — for the security, confidentiality and integrity of your data, for any information or data used for research services, for research services based on the output of AI tools, and for compliance with all applicable law. Using an AI tool never transfers that responsibility to the tool or its vendor.
Your Data
Where an AI tool is used, we send it the minimum context needed to answer the specific request. We do not send your KYC documents, payment credentials, passwords or broker credentials to any AI tool. Our AI processing vendor is identified in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
If the extent of our AI usage changes materially, we will update this disclosure and notify you, as required by the circular referenced above. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
