This Privacy Policy explains how SM Research Services Pvt Ltd (brand name Investace Capital, product name Alpha Leap), a SEBI Registered Research Analyst (Reg. No. INH000017736), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information you provide when you visit this website or use the Alpha Leap dashboard.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services, including:

• Identity & contact details — full name, email address, mobile number, provided at signup.
• KYC information — identity and address verification details collected during the KYC step, processed on our behalf by our KYC verification vendor.
• Payment information — subscription payment records (amount, date, order status); your card/UPI/bank credentials are never received or stored by us — they are handled entirely by our payment processor, Cashfree Payments.
• Portfolio & account data you choose to reference for performance tracking (e.g. your model-portfolio holdings as reflected in your own linked Zerodha/Kite account), used solely to display your dashboard and performance figures back to you.
• Usage data — standard technical logs (login timestamps, device/browser type) for security and service reliability.

This website does not collect personally identifiable information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide it (e.g. by signing up, completing KYC, or contacting support).

How We Use It

• To create and operate your Alpha Leap account and dashboard.
• To verify your identity (KYC) as required under SEBI regulations.
• To process your membership payment and confirm your subscription status.
• To calculate and display your portfolio performance, reports, and notifications.
• To send service communications — account, KYC, payment, and portfolio-review updates — by email and/or WhatsApp.
• To comply with applicable law, regulation, and SEBI recordkeeping requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or exchange your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes. We do not spam you.

Third-Party Processors

We share the minimum necessary data with the following service providers, solely to deliver the Alpha Leap service:

• Cashfree Payments — payment processing for your membership fee. Cashfree receives what is necessary to process your payment; we never receive or store your full card/bank/UPI credentials ourselves.
• Meon — our KYC/identity-verification vendor, used to complete your mandatory SEBI KYC check.
• Zerodha (Kite Connect/Kite Publisher) — order execution happens directly in your own Zerodha account; we read only what is needed to synchronise your dashboard with your own, self-custodied holdings.
• Google Cloud/Workspace — the application infrastructure and database underlying this product.
• WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta) and email — service notifications only (KYC status, payment confirmation, portfolio reviews, rebalance/top-up alerts).
• OpenAI — used in a limited, product-support capacity for AI-assisted research summarisation features within the dashboard.

Each of these processors is contractually/technically restricted to using your data only to provide the specific service named above.

Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter for as long as required to meet our legal, tax, audit, and SEBI Research Analyst recordkeeping obligations. KYC records are retained per the retention period mandated for SEBI-registered intermediaries.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to our regulatory recordkeeping obligations, which may require us to retain certain records even after account closure) by writing to us using the contact details below. You may also opt out of non-essential service communications at any time.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including restricted access (only personnel involved in delivering your service have access to your data), encrypted transmission, and secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
